Dorchester Baptist Church
Video Projection with Remote Control Camera
A major refurbishment of this town centre church required the provision of a modern video facility. Two ceiling-mounted video projectors with electrically operated screens were installed. These could be used for displaying material from a PC as well as material from a ceiling-mounted remote-controlled camera. The camera allowed the operator to control the camera pan, tilt and zoom from the control position. A video mixer provided convenient control and mixing of the various sources.

St Candida, Whitchurch Canonicorum
Discreet Sound System with Induction Loop in 13th Century Church
St Candida is a 13th C. parish church. Here the requirement was for a high quality sound system that was easy to use, with absolute minimum impact on the fabric and appearance of the building. Future Media installed a system using high quality components, which gave a very high standard of reproduction. The installation was designed such that an observer would find it very difficult to know a sound system was installed - it is almost invisible. Among the steps taken to achieve this, the wire for the hearing aid loop was chased into the grout of the flag stones in the floor, so they are completely hidden from sight. All microphones are Sennheiser radio microphones, to give high quality performance with no visible cabling. To make the system easy to operate, we installed a novel infra-red remote control system. The volume of the various microphones can be controlled from the pews using an infra-red handset. A discreet display mounted above the vestry door provides feedback of the control which is being adjusted.

All Saints, Hordle
Novel Retractable Video Projection Screen
All Saints required a video projections screen to deliver a high quality image to the congregation. However, when the screen was not in use it had to be unnoticeable. This was a challenging requirement as there was no mounting position for the screen that would be visible when in use, but discreet when not. The solution arrived at by Future Media was to fabricate a rear projection screen that could be folded back against the wall when not in use, and which could not only be swung into a more visible position for viewing, but would also extend to improve the position for viewing.

Parish Church Sound Reinforcement
This was an installation offering voice reinforcement with ease of use and value for money, with a discreet appearance. Compact loudspeakers enabled good sound reproduction and effective coverage of the church, without being visually intrusive. A condenser gooseneck microphone attached to the lectern provided sensitive and high quality pickup of speech, as well as being visually unobtrusive.

Longfleet Baptist Church
Video Projection System with Long Throw Lens
Here the church wanted to add a video projector to display the words of songs, but the high roof and open design of the church meant that a conventional projector installation mounted on a pole dropped down from the roof would have been visually out off the question. The solution adopted by Future Media was to supply a projector mounted discreetly on the roof off the entrance, on the opposite wall to the screen, with a long throw lens to achieve the desired image size. The result is an installation that provides a good brightness and image quality, and is visually unintrusive, and economical.

Video Projector Installation
An installation of a video projector to be fed from both a laptop and a discreet remote controlled video camera. This allows live images of the service to be viewed and the camera can be moved and zoomed by the operator. We were able to deliver a system with a very good image quality and a discreet appearance despite difficulties caused by the screen size and location, and available positions for the projector.
